Alai Alai Lyrics

What is the meaning of Alai Alai lyrics?

The song 'Alai Alai' from 'Evanukku Engeyo Matcham Irukku' is a vibrant and romantic declaration of love, filled with playful metaphors and expressions of infatuation. The lyrics describe the overwhelming feeling of love as a 'honeyed wave' in the heart, and the beloved as having cast a 'net of love'. The imagery of a previously still vehicle now moving everywhere with kisses beautifully captures the transformative power of love, making the lover's heart active and joyful. The desire for the 'vehicle and road' to live together symbolizes a wish for a lasting, intertwined relationship. The song further elevates the romantic fantasy by imagining grand gestures and experiences, such as conversing by the Thames, exploring London Bridge, and singing Shakespeare's poems. The beloved's beauty is exaggerated poetically, suggesting that even her 'lies' hold charm and her kohl is so captivating that 'dark clouds would ask for it'. The desire to travel the world like a bird and add more colors to the rainbow signifies the boundless joy and adventurous spirit that love brings, painting a picture of a love that is both deeply emotional and exhilaratingly free.
