Song Meaning & Analysis
"Allah" from "Ninaithale Inikkum" is an energetic and heartfelt prayer delivered from a youthful perspective. The protagonist, Mulla, introduces himself with humility, seeking forgiveness for any past mistakes. The core of his plea is for universal peace and unity, asking Allah to foster a world where people of all faiths—represented by names like Ganapathi, John, Kathirvelu, Kennedy, Veer, and Mohammed—can live as "thick friends" without conflict. This highlights a strong message of communal harmony and brotherhood, a recurring theme in the song.
Beyond unity, the song expresses a desire for personal and collective growth. Mulla prays for an active mind, the strength to overcome laziness, and the wisdom to understand the vastness of knowledge. He seeks divine protection for himself and his friends, especially those who share his burdens. The lyrics also touch upon the challenges of youth, asking Allah to guide them through this "throbbing age" and prevent mistakes. Ultimately, it's a vibrant appeal for divine intervention in daily life, for strength to face obstacles, and for humility, attributing all success and creation to Allah's will, while also finding God in the smiles of the poor.
