Idhu Pola Lyrics

What is the meaning of Idhu Pola lyrics?

This song, "Idhu Pola" from 'Iraivan', is a poignant lament of profound loss and unbearable grief. The lyrics express the deep anguish of someone whose beloved has departed, leaving them in a world devoid of meaning. The speaker feels as though their very identity and existence were intertwined with their partner, and now that person is gone, life itself has become a thorny, desolate path. The pain is so immense that the world shrinks to a single point of sorrow, and even their lifeblood turns to tears. The song beautifully captures the paradox of grief: the one who caused this pain (by leaving) is also the one whose memory is cherished and celebrated even beyond death. The lyrics delve into the enduring nature of love and memory, asserting that even in death, the ashes will celebrate the beloved, and their face will forever dance in the mind. The unfulfilled dreams, like naming their child together, add another layer of tragedy to the narrative. The speaker pleads for clarity amidst the confusion of loss, wishing for an end to the torment rather than being left in a painful limbo. The song is a raw outpouring of a heart shattered by an irreplaceable absence, longing for a past that can never return, and grappling with a future that holds only thorns and tears.
