Kanda Kanavu Lyrics

What is the meaning of Kanda Kanavu lyrics?

The song "Kanda Kanavu" delves into themes of unfulfilled dreams, profound disappointment, and a sense of betrayal. The protagonist expresses a deep feeling of being unheard and misunderstood, even by a divine power, highlighting the isolation of their suffering. The lyrics paint a picture of a destructive desire that consumes the mind, leading to sorrow and a slow, painful demise. The repeated motif of dreams turning into mere memories underscores the loss of hope and the transformation of aspirations into painful recollections. A central metaphor in the song is the poignant line, "When I asked for a hand to hold, you were the one who cut off your hand and gave it." This powerful imagery conveys a response that, while perhaps intended as a sacrifice or a gesture, ultimately resulted in more pain, severing the very connection sought. The song portrays a relentless, almost fated, progression of suffering, where initial hopes are gradually eroded, leading to a state of emotional devastation and questioning the very reality of past dreams.
