Kanney Naan Un Kannadi song lyrics Lyrics

What is the meaning of Kanney Naan Un Kannadi song lyrics lyrics?

This poignant song from 'Paava Kadhaigal' (Vaanmagal segment) is a heart-wrenching monologue from a mother to her daughter, who has endured unspeakable trauma. The mother identifies herself as her daughter's mirror, reflecting every emotion, every tear, and every lost smile. The lyrics convey a deep sense of shared pain, where the mother feels her daughter's suffering as her own, to the point where even nature cannot bear witness to their sorrow. It's a desperate attempt to offer solace and strength in the face of an unbearable reality. The song beautifully captures the mother's internal conflict: her own shattered spirit versus her unwavering need to protect and heal her child. She urges her daughter not to internalize the pain ("don't consume your tears") and warns against revealing their vulnerability to a cruel world ("devils live here"). The mother's promise that "one day it will change" is a fragile hope, as she admits her own inability to find comfort, yet she bravely continues to console her daughter. It's a powerful portrayal of maternal love, resilience, and the profound grief that accompanies such a devastating experience.
