Oh Balu Lyrics

What is the meaning of Oh Balu lyrics?

This song, 'Oh Balu', from '100% Kadhal', humorously captures the frustrations of students who find academics challenging, especially when compared to an exceptionally brilliant peer named Balu. The lyrics open by likening exams to ex-lovers who return to torture one's memory, expressing a common student sentiment of wanting to enjoy youth rather than being burdened by studies and complex theories. The song playfully laments the loss of their "rainbow age" to academic pressures, highlighting the desire for freedom and fun over textbooks. The central theme revolves around the character of Balu, who is portrayed as the epitome of perfection – someone who excels effortlessly in everything, even making studying seem enjoyable. The singers express their despair at competing with Balu, who is so good that he makes achieving even a first rank seem impossible. The song also includes a witty segment where the singers imagine a world without famous inventors, suggesting they too could have made great discoveries if not for these pioneers, further emphasizing their playful self-pity and competitive spirit against Balu's brilliance. It's a light-hearted take on student life, academic pressure, and the universal experience of encountering someone who seems to do everything perfectly.
