Pazhaya Sogangal Lyrics

What is the meaning of Pazhaya Sogangal lyrics?

This song, 'Pazhaya Sogangal', is a deeply melancholic and introspective piece that delves into themes of past pain, lost hopes, and lingering sadness. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a soul burdened by memories, using metaphors like "old sorrows" and "wounds that cried" to express profound emotional distress. The imagery of fleeting elements like fallen leaves, wings, bubbles, and boats, alongside a star that falls upon being noticed, symbolizes the transient nature of joy and the sudden onset of despair, suggesting that even moments of hope are quickly extinguished. The second stanza continues this exploration of despair, questioning if the endless night and darkness will ever dissipate. The lines "Are these days of falling fire? Or secret wounds?" evoke a sense of constant suffering, whether external or internal. The feeling of being lost with "no path to go" and the stark reality of a world without comfort or solace, even in the presence of another ("When you came, there was no shadow"), highlight a profound sense of isolation and unfulfilled longing. The recurring question, "Won't tears well up in the heart?", underscores the overwhelming emotional weight and the inevitability of sorrow.
