Song Meaning & Analysis
This song is a poignant lament about family discord and the tragic fate of a mother abandoned by her children. It critiques the materialistic nature of siblings who, despite sharing blood, divide their ancestral property and forget the sacrifices of their mother. The lyrics express deep sorrow and anger over the breakdown of familial bonds, questioning whether it's fate, foolishness, or external conspiracy that led to such a painful separation.
The song vividly portrays the mother's suffering, comparing her to a life-giving banana tree that has fallen. It highlights the irony of children uniting only to carry their mother's corpse, after having neglected her in life.
