Veppam Lyrics

What is the meaning of Veppam lyrics?

The song "Veppam" (Heat/Passion/Rage) from the movie of the same name delves into the cyclical and destructive nature of intense emotions. It metaphorically describes how 'heat' – representing anger, passion, or even a burning desire for justice – can arise from various sources, even seemingly calm ones like water or air, implying its pervasive and unpredictable nature. The lyrics trace a chain reaction: boiling blood leads to invoked heat, which in turn leads to crime, the forgetting of dharma (righteousness), and further pursuit by this 'heat'. The narrative then shifts to the consequences: this relentless 'heat' causes life to tremble and hearts to be disturbed. However, this turmoil eventually leads to an understanding of justice, which paradoxically reignites the 'heat' – perhaps a righteous anger or a burning desire for retribution. The song's repetitive structure emphasizes the inescapable and self-perpetuating cycle of these powerful emotions and their impact on human actions and morality, reflecting the intense and often dark themes explored in the film.
