Chittu Kuruvi Lyrics

What is the meaning of Chittu Kuruvi lyrics?

The song "Chittu Kuruvi" from 'Puthiya Paravai' is a poignant expression of longing and unfulfilled desire, beautifully framed by observations of nature's harmonious unions. The protagonist, likely a woman, witnesses sparrows kissing, the sky merging with the ocean, beetles diving into flowers, and wind playing with bamboo – all symbols of natural connection and intimacy. These observations highlight a stark contrast with her own emotional state, as she yearns for a similar bond but feels hindered by a lack of a companion and her own shyness. The lyrics delve deeper into her internal conflict, where she wishes to fly but lacks wings, and desires to embrace but finds herself without a partner. Despite having thoughts and feelings to express, shyness prevents her from articulating them. The rhetorical questions about being a flower, giving honey, forgetting herself in the moonlight, and her cheeks blushing from youthful joy, all underscore a sense of missed opportunities and a yearning for romantic fulfillment that remains just out of reach, making the song a tender portrayal of unspoken love and wistful longing.
